"It was even crazier in person": Gilbert Arenas' ex Laura Govan shares her reaction to daughter Hamiley Arenas' performance

Gilbert Arenas' ex, Laura Govan, couldn’t hide her excitement on Monday as she shared her reaction to daughter Hamiley Arenas’ latest standout performance. The former partner of the NBA star posted a video of Hamiley sinking a long-range shot, captioning it:

“OMG HAM. It was even crazier in person.”

Hamiley delivered a dominant 30-point performance for Notre Dame Sherman Oaks High School in the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic on Saturday. The Knights faced the Oceanside Pirates, with Hamiley leading her team on both ends of the court.

This wasn’t the first time Laura Govan has showered Hamiley with love and admiration on social media. On Sunday, after Notre Dame's win, Govan posted a series of Instagram videos highlighting Hamiley’s skills and calling her "a goat in the making."

Hamiley Arenas, a ninth-grade varsity player, has been outstanding this season, averaging 25.0 points per game for Notre Dame. Earlier in December, Govan took to Instagram to share her pride:

"My baby is averaging 25 points as a 9th grader for Varsity High School … Proud Mama, you work so hard training and watching film at all hours of the night. Nobody Needs to See What You Do in the Dark; Keep Letting Your Light Shine on the Court, Mama… Proud Mama, #1 Fan."

Hamiley continues to dominate on the court. In her varsity debut against Campbell High, the rising star dropped an impressive double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds in a narrow 75–70 loss.

Besides daughter Hamiley Arenas, son Alijah Arenas also earned praise from mother Laura Govan

Hamiley Arenas has been truly extraordinary this season, with mother Laura Govan praising her relentless energy:

"She NEVER stops moving," in one of her Instagram stories early this month.

However, she is not the only Arenas lighting up the court. Five-star prospect Alijah Arenas, son of Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan, has also made a splash this season.

On Friday, Alijah led the Chatsworth Chancellors against the Prescott Badgers, featuring three-star UC San Diego commit Uriah Tenette, during the "Classic at Damien.” While Prescott managed a close 93-87 win, Alijah dropped a 56-point blitz.

Govan, impressed with her son's performance, took to Instagram on Saturday to celebrate the achievement.

"56 Huh!? Straight Shooter... Keep Growing Papa No one sees you working in the dark. Let them see you shining in the light," Govan wrote.
