Four-star running back Savion Hiter has been turning heads at the 2025 Under Armour All-American Game practices. He is also keeping a keen focus on his recruitment and has Michigan as one of his top suitors.

Running backs coach Tony Alford is the primary recruiter of Hiter in Michigan.

"Me and Coach Alfred, we already had a bond at Ohio State, and when he went to Michigan, I mean, Michigan has always been a powerhouse school. It would be great to go there," Hiter told On3.

Michigan is one of Hiter’s top four schools, along with Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee. He has confirmed plans to visit all four programs officially.

According to On3, Sherrone Moore's program has a 17.4% chance of landing his commitment, while Ohio State leads with a 23.2% chance. The Buckeyes’ recent success with star running backs like TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins has solidified their reputation as a destination for elite ball carriers.

However, Hiter told On3's Steve Wiltfong last week that Michigan is at the top of his list of schools. The school also countered with its impressive recruiting efforts by securing commitments from four-star running backs Jasper Parker and Donovan Johnson in the 2025 class. The Wolverines’ 19-13 victory over Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl also proves their dominance in college football.

Four-star prospect Javian Osborne has also named Michigan as his top choice. Osborne even floated the idea of forming a dynamic duo with Savion Hiter and described it as a “Sonic and Knuckles” partnership.

Savion Hiter capped off a phenomenal junior season

Savion Hiter delivered a promising performance in his junior season at Louisa County High School in Virginia. He was a key force behind Louisa County’s Jefferson District Championship-winning campaign.

He amassed 1,897 all-purpose yards, including 1,698 yards on the ground and 199 receiving yards. He averaged 10.8 yards per carry across 156 attempts and found the end zone 29 times.

Savion Hiter also contributed on defense by recording 56 tackles, seven sacks, four tackles for loss, and one interception. He is the top running back in the 2026 class and also the top prospect in Virginia, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
