Jake Fette, a four-star quarterback from El Paso is a major commit for the Sun Devils’ 2026 recruiting class. Ranked among the top 15 quarterbacks and within the top 200 overall prospects by 247Sports, Fette’s commitment is pivotal.
Despite offers from high-profile schools like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, and Auburn, Fette is firmly focused on his future at ASU.
“You know being committed to ASU right now is a big-time thing,” Fette told On3. “Coming off a season like they did all I can think about is how I can impact the school when I get there. Coach Dilly and the guys up there did a tremendous job this year and it just leads me to be more and more excited to be a Sun Devil.”
Fette’s relationship with Dillingham and offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo played a crucial role in his decision. The quarterback praised their player-first approach, noting:
“Really mainly the culture they base their program around. “They don’t care how many stars you have or how many followers you have. They’re just looking for (someone) who loves the game and want to ball.”
ASU’s 2024 season under Dillingham was a turning point. The team captured the Big 12 title, secured a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, and nearly upset Texas in a thrilling 39-31 double-overtime battle. With Heisman candidate Sam Leavitt returning next season, the Sun Devils aim to sustain their momentum.
Fette, who also holds offers from Baylor, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, and Cal, is one of four recruits currently committed to ASU for the 2026 class.
