With their 9-4 season officially in the books, Alabama’s coaching staff has shifted focus to boosting its recruiting efforts. One of its latest visits included a stop to see four-star edge rusher Dre Quinn. Crimson Tide running backs coach Robert Gillespie spearheaded the visit earlier this week.
"It means a lot,” Quinn told Touchdown Alabama. “It shows that they really prioritize and want me there.”
The standout prospect from Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia, has emerged as a highly coveted prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. Following the Crimson Tide’s visit, Clemson coaches quickly followed suit.
Quinn also received scholarships from Auburn and LSU this week. His other notable suitors include Georgia, Wake Forest, Florida State, SMU, USF, Memphis, Virginia Tech, Missouri and Georgia Tech, among other schools.
Dre Quinn is the No. 25 edge rusher in the 2026 class, the No. 31 recruit in Georgia and the No. 252 prospect in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
For Alabama, securing Dre Quinn would be a crucial addition to its 2026 class. Following the decommitment of defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland last month, the Crimson Tide’s lone 2026 commit remains four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson. The school also lost three more committed players in the cycle prior to Cleveland.
Dre Quinn opens up about the Alabama offer
Dre Quinn was in attendance during Alabama's 28-14 win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Nov. 30 and received an offer from the Crimson Tide coaching staff.
"It means a lot, knowing that Bama has been one of the best college teams from when I was a little kid to now speaks volumes, and I’m grateful to have an offer," Quinn told Touchdown Alabama.
The Iron Bowl left a strong impression on Quinn, who described the atmosphere at Bryant-Denny Stadium as unmatched.
“The stadium was filled to the brim with electric fans everywhere," Quinn told On3.
In the coming weeks, Dre Quinn’s recruitment will remain active, as he has visits lined up with Duke on Jan. 18, Tennessee on Jan. 25, Virginia on Feb. 1, Alabama the next day and Clemson on March 8.
