Three-star wide receiver Gracen Harris committed to Mississippi State's 2025 class on Monday and also completed signing with the Bulldogs. The standout from Ennis High School (Texas) had initially committed to Oklahoma last year but backed off his pledge two days before National Signing Day.

Harris's decommitment from Oklahoma was reportedly linked to scholarship adjustments. According to a source close to the program, he fell victim to the roster reshuffling Brent Venables, described as the “carnage” of NCAA scholarship limits. Harris learned of the situation three days before signing day and quickly connected with Mississippi State.

"Mississippi State just fell back into my lap," Harris told Gene's Page. "Me and my dad talked about it and decided that was the best place for me."

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound, prospect chose Mississippi State over offers from Florida State, Purdue, Kansas, Pittsburgh, SMU, Texas Tech, Baylor and West Virginia. He's the fourth wide receiver signee in Mississippi State's 2025 class, joining Davian Jackson, Anson Lewis and Isaiah Mitchell.

The Bulldogs have 26 commitments for the 2025 class, ranking No. 22 in the nation and No. 13 in the Southeastern Conference.

Gracen Harris reveals Jeff Lebby's influence in Mississippi State commitment

Gracen Harris committed to Jeff Lebby when he was the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma. With Lebby becoming Mississippi State's coach, the Bulldogs appear to be Harris’ likely landing spot.

"My dad and I felt like being back with him was a good thing," Harris told Gene's Page. "Coach Lebby told me that he wants to get me the ball and they are going to do that in anyway they can."

Harris hasn’t yet visited Mississippi State, but plans are in motion.

"I might be visiting out there tomorrow," Harris said. "I am not sure yet. A lot of things that have happened in my life have kind of come last minute. I guess that's a bad habit to have, but that's how it is for me a lot of times. I just see it as part of my testimony and God using me."

Gracen Harris has recorded 1,696 yards and sixteen touchdowns in his senior season. He's ranked as the No. 85 wide receiver in the 2025 class, the No. 528 prospect in the nation and the No. 75 recruit in Texas, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
