Divine Bourrage, a five-star recruit from the 2025 class, committed to the LSU Tigers in September 2024. Since then, the LSU staff can't stop appreciating the 5-foot-9 shooting guard who signed with the Tigers in November. The Davenport (Iowa) North basketball star gave a convincing performance against Bettendorf on Dec. 21.
Isaiah Ponciano shared highlights from the game via his Instagram handle on Wednesday. The compilation video includes layups, jumpers and free throws.
The game seemed too easy for her, and her teammates exchanged passes with her right under the rim on many occasions. Her positioning was top-notch, and she casually found herself chilling in the right place at the right time.
"@vine_spirit is in her bag (29 points, 13 rebounds & 6 assists) vs Bettendorf," the caption read.
Bourrage bagged 29 points, 13 rebounds and six assists as Davenport North Wildcats beat the Bettendorf Bulldogs 69-53.
LSU assistant coach Gary Redus heaped praises on the Tigers' signee in the comments section.
"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥," he wrote.
Divine Bourrage chose LSU over offers from Illinois, Missouri, Florida and Kentucky. The young gun is cruising with stellar performances this season. Tigers fans will hope to see similar play from Bourrage when she dons LSU colors.
Kim Mulkey attends Divine Bourrage's high school game
LSU's coaching staff, including Tigers coach Kim Mulkey, were in the stands for Divine Bourrage on Dec. 12. The youngster talked with her future coach before posing for a picture before the game. Despite the loss, it was a day to remember for the top shooting guard from the 2025 class.
The staff had some idle time, thanks to college finals, so, they decided to make a trip to their talented recruit.
Mulkey spoke highly of Bourrage in an interview with WAQD News and believes the five-star recruit will be a significant factor in LSU's success in the upcoming seasons.
"The position she plays was the first thing," Mulkey said. "We need a perimeter player. She can handle the point guard position, she can play the off-guard. I'm just gonna enjoy that she's going to be an LSU Tiger."
Divine will hope to live up to the coach's expectations. Will she be able to replicate her high school success at the college level? Let us know your thoughts.
