Four-star prospect Krew Jones is rapidly making a name for himself in college football recruitment. He is versatile enough to excel as a defensive end, tight end, and running back, but recruiting experts primarily view him as an edge rusher.

Despite the 2027 class just beginning their sophomore season, Jones is already drawing huge attention from multiple programs. He has accumulated over a dozen offers, with Lincoln Riley's USC being the latest to extend a scholarship on Sunday following an unofficial visit.

The prospect shared the news on X, writing:

"USC OFFERED. FIGHT ON. @CoachNua @Coach_Henny @LincolnRiley @DaGman7 @WestonZernechel @uscfb @FightOnRusty @USCnation @USC_Rivals @bylucaevans @On3USC @FightOn247 @uscallday1 @USCHippie @K12Elite @C_Morrissette @TrojanFBx @SSchraderOn3 @iammsuzy

USC's 2027 recruiting class is still in its early stages, with no commitments yet secured. The program showed interest in several other prospects, including running back Ezavier Crowell, wide receiver Ethan Feaster, tight end Mark Bowman and edge rusher Richard Wesley.

It also extended offers to defensive lineman Jameer Henry, linebacker Liufau Loumoli, cornerback Havon Finney and running back Caden Waye.

For Jones, the USC offer came on the heels of USC's massive 48-0 victory over Utah on Saturday. If he commits to the Trojans, he can be the first pledge in the program's 2027 class.

Krew Jones kicked off September with an offer from Tennessee. He holds scholarships from Washington State, Nebraska, BYU, Utah, Baylor, Utah State, UNLV, Oregon State, Arizona State, Arkansas and Washington, among others.

Krew Jones's sophomore season performance so far

As a sophomore, Krew Jones has played three games, tallying 20 total tackles (eight solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), five tackles for losses and four sacks. On offense, he recorded 16 rushing yards and 26 receiving yards, averaging 14 yards per game.

As a sophomore, Jones has already earned ratings from major recruiting channels. On3 tabs him as the No. 75 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 7 edge rusher in the 2027 class and the No. 1 recruit in Utah. 247 Sports places him as the nation's No. 70 overall prospect, the No. 10 edge rusher in the class and the No. 1 recruit in the state.
