Former NFL player Tatum Bell announced on X that his son, Tatum Bell Jr., a three-star wide receiver prospect at Frisco Heritage High School in Texas, is transferring to Lewisville ISD due to a lack of "fair treatment and respect" in Frisco ISD.
" We made the decision to transfer my son, Tatum Jr., from Frisco ISD to Lewisville ISD because Frisco ISD failed to handle his situation fairly. The false accusations against him and the lack of proper communication created an environment that was neither supportive nor just," the post read.
" To ensure Tatum Jr.'s well-being, we have enrolled him in Lewisville ISD, where he now resides with me!! This decision was made to provide him with fair treatment and respect he deserves," it added.
In his high school football career at Frisco ISD, Tatum Bell Jr. amassed 1,653 yards, averaging 13.7 points per game with a total of 63.6 touchdowns. As a freshman, he played six games, recording 43 receptions and averaging 9.3 yards per game. In his sophomore year, he played 10 games, achieving 647 receptions and averaging 75.5 Y/G. In his junior year, he played 10 games, with 963 receptions and 116.7 Y/G.
Frisco Heritage is ranked 252nd in Texas and holds a 5-5 overall record for the 2024-25 season. The Coyotes are led by head coach Kenneth Gilchrist.
Tatum Bell Jr. received offer from father's alma mater
Tatum Bell Jr., a wide receiver from the Class of 2026, has received offers from several prestigious programs including Baylor, TCU, Houston and his father's alma mater, Oklahoma State, among others.
On Feb. 16 last year, Tatum Bell Jr. announced on X that he had received an offer from Oklahoma State University.
" #AGTG After a great conversation with @kasey_dunn I am beyond blessed to receive an offer from Oklahoma State University!!!", the post read.
Commenting on the college offer, Tatum Bell spoke about Oklahoma State as per Pistols Firing's blog:
"I’m big on him going to OSU. His eyes are wide open. He likes whoever likes him. But we just wanted to go down, get on OSU’s radar and just meet the coaches. Well, I know them, but let him meet the coaches. It’s not for me, it’s for him. I just wanted him to get on the radar pretty much and go from there and compete," Bell said.
Who is NFL Running Back Tatum Bell?
Tatum Bell is a former NFL player who played for the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Florida Tuskers. Throughout his career, Bell played in 54 games, amassing 2,773 yards, 569 rush attempts and 16 touchdowns, according to Pro Football Reference. He played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
