Ole Miss couldn't secure any quarterback commitments for the 2025 class, but the Rebels are focusing on several signal-callers for their 2026 class. One of their newest targets is four-star Gavin Sidwar, who received an offer from Lane Kiffin’s program on Thursday.

The La Salle College High School (Pennsylvania) shared the news on X, tagging Kiffin and Ole Miss personnel analyst Kaden Semon.

"After a great conversation with Coach Joe Judge, I’m blessed to have received an offer from @OleMissFB! #HottyToddy @Kaden_semon15 @Lane_Kiffin," Sidwar tweeted.

Sidwar had been committed to Rutgers since July 1 but backed off his pledge on Oct. 27. As a 2026 prospect, he still has plenty of time before making a decision, and Ole Miss is in a good position to continue recruiting him.

The Rebels ensured a strong cycle in 2025 with 23 committed players and have also added 23 players from the transfer portal. The next step is to replicate the same success in the 2026 class.

Besides Sidwar, they are in the mix for multiple quarterback prospects in the 2026 cycle, including Luke Fahey, DJ Bordeaux, Jackson Taylor, Nelson Peterson and Nick Kinsey.

What would Gavin Sidwar's potential commitment mean to Ole Miss?

In his junior season in 2024, Gavin Sidwar completed 220 of 318 passes (69%) for 2,747 yards while recording 31 touchdowns and only six interceptions. It comes after a good season in 2023 when he set several sophomore passing records at La Salle, completing 186 of 285 passes for 2,439 yards and 29 touchdowns.

La Salle coach Brett Gordon, a Hall of Fame quarterback at La Salle College High, praised Sidwar, saying (via Inquirer):

“As a former quarterback and quarterback coach, accuracy in my opinion, is the most important aspect of throwing the football, and Gavin does it as well as anybody I’ve ever seen.”

Gavin Sidwar is the No. 18 quarterback in the 2025 class, the No. 8 recruit in Pennsylvania and the No. 293 prospect in the nation, according to On3. He can be a phenomenal addition to Ole Miss' 2026 class, which has one committed player: three-star athlete Zion Legree.
