Hamiley Arenas, son of the three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, received her first D1 offer from the Big Ten powerhouse University of Wisconsin on Thursday. Arenas has consistently displayed some stellar performances for the Notre Dame Sherman Oaks, leading them in points, steals and rebounds per game.
The combo guard shared the news on her Instagram:
"After a great conversation with Head Coach Marisa Moseley, I am blessed to say I have received an offer from the University of Wisconsin, Thank you for believing me!!♥️🤍," Arenas captioned the post.
The post saw congratulations from her mother Laura Govan, Inglewood player Jason Crowe Jr., Sierra Canyon's Jerzy Robinson, son of 12-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul and Chris Paul Jr., among others:

Alijah Arenas' girlfriend who goes by the Instagram username _jaydennnn._ was also stoked for Hamiley, "YESSS HAMILEYYY."
The 16-year-old is in her debut season for Notre Dame and is having a great impact on the team. She scored 31 points on 41% shooting against Rolling Hills Prep to lead her team to a 71-47 victory. Furthermore, she had two 28-point games in the losses against Dos Pueblos on Jan. 4 and Louisville on Jan. 7.
In the 97-48 loss to Jerzy Robinson's Sierra Canyon, Arenas finished with 20 points, six rebounds and two blocks, while Robinson recorded a double-double with 33 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Arenas is averaging a double-double Notre Dame, scoring 22.8 points, dishing out 3.3 assists, grabbing 12.7 rebounds, stealing the ball 3.2 times, combined with 0.9 blocks per game.
Hamiley Arenas' Notre Dame struggling to find rhythm
The Sherman Oaks started their season with a 75-70 loss against Campbell Hall, with Hamiley Arenas scoring 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. They won their next two games against Kennedy and Venice but faced defeat against Ventura and Palisades.
Furthermore, they also went on a five-game winning streak, but that was followed by four back-to-back defeats in December. The Sherman Oaks have lost six of their last 10 matches to reduce them to an 11-10 record overall and a 0-5 record in the league. They next face San Fernando on Saturday.
