Kiyan Anthony showed once again why he was a top prospect in the Class of 2025. The Syracuse commit had an exciting start to the season in a game where his team secured a dominant 74-35 win against St. Joseph’s High School at Visscher Gym.

Bryce James, who consistently supports his teammates and friends by posting their commitment news or highlights on social media, took to Instagram to share Anthony's debut highlights by Ballislife on his story:

"Easy 💸," Bryce captioned the story.

Anthony avoided serious injury in the fourth quarter when he went for a dunk, and St. Joseph’s Nate Blenman fouled him. The Long Island Lutheran guard converted the dunk but fell hard on the floor subsequently and had to be carried off the court.

Thankfully, according to sports writer Brian Heyman, Anthony's injury is not serious as he took to X to give an update on his health after speaking to the 6-foot-5 shooting guard:

"I just spoke with LuHi’s Kiyan Anthony, who got fouled on a dunk, fell hard & was carried off. Thought it unintentional, 'but he kind of undercut me and I fell on my back. I’m in a little bit of pain right now, but I should be all good.' Thinks he’ll only miss a few days for PT."

Anthony scored 16 points, Dylan Mingo had 14, while Dylan's brother Kayden registered a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and five steals.

Kiyan Anthony has been an exceptional talent who has performed well on the court this year. While representing his father's team, Team Melo, he has averaged 19.6 points, 1.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per contest earlier this year.

Kiyan Anthony vs Bryce James

Both Kiyan Anthony and Bryce James are two of the most sorted-out high school basketball players. The faced each other in the Nike EYBL when Anthony represented his father's team, Team Melo, while Bryce represented Team Strive For Greatness.

Anthony scored 18 points and combined that with four assists. Meanwhile, James racked up eight points and two rebounds.

In the five games James played in the Nike EYBL, he averaged 5.6 ppg and 2.4 rpg. Whereas, Anthony has displayed his excellent shooting consistently, which was displayed by his performance against Pro Skills Elite, where he had 28 points and shot 50% from beyond the arc on May 18.

Anthony has committed to Syracuse while the hoops fans await James' decision.
