"Get to it boy @mikewillcho," Bryce wrote.

Williams and the Germantown Mavericks (Mississippi) suffered a 64-40 defeat. The Mavericks dropped to 14-3 after the road loss in Tennessee. They will next take on the Tupelo Golden Wave on Friday.

Williams is ranked No. 133 overall by 247Sports Composite for the Class of 2025, the No. 16 combo guard and the No. 2 player in Mississippi. He has committed to Jackson State University — the school his dad coaches.

He and his brother, Mason Williams, used to play for Jackson Academy but transferred to Germantown before this season started. With the Williams brothers, Germantown is considered one of the favorites to win the Mississippi State championship and is at the top of its division.

Mike Williams explains his commitment to Jackson State University

Mike Williams' commitment to Jackson State did not surprise many, as his father is its coach. He explained that he felt that he and his dad could do something special together.

"I made the decision to play for my dad because I believe we can do something special,” Williams said in September, via Mississippi Scoreboard. “I feel like it’s the best fit for me because as a coach he knows me best and he will put me in the position to be successful.
"Also, colleges weren’t offering me, just a lot of interest from almost every SEC school, but everyone was scared to pull the trigger. In my honest opinion, I will make everyone know my name for that exact reason."

Williams averaged 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.8 assists in his junior year. He led his former school in points, rebounds, steals and blocks as a guard.
