Bryce James played against Dante Allen in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam. While James has yet to decide on his collegiate career, he often uses his Instagram to post about the commitment of players in his class.
James recently posted about Jake West, who committed to Northwestern. On Wednesday, he reshared a post from SportsCenter Next about four-star recruit Dante Allen's commitment to Villanova:
Allen showed tremendous improvement in his game. In the 2021-22 season, he played 28 games and averaged 12.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.5 blocks for Riviera Prep in Miami, Florida.
Last season, he improved every aspect of his game as he appeared in 32 games and averaged 21 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 3.4 apg, 3.4 spg and 0.6 bpg.
Allen is the son of the former Villanova and NBA player Malik Allen, who also serves as an assistant coach for the Miami Heat. During an interview with 247Sports on Wednesday, Dante Allen talked about choosing the Wildcats.
“Being there was definitely a place I could call home,” Allen said.
Adam Finklestein, the director of scouting for 247Sports, spoke highly of Allen:
“A big, power guard, he’s long and versatile with the type of skill set and basketball IQ you would expect from a coach’s son,” Finkelstein wrote. He’s multipositional on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he’s a true combo guard who can play both on and off the ball."
Bryce James faced Dante Allen in the EYBL Peach Jam
LeBron James' son Bryce James represented his father's Strive For Greatness team. James competed against Allen, who played for the Nightrydas.
It was a game where some of the top recruits in the Class of 2025, including Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony and the Boozer twins, sons of retired NBA player Carlos Boozer, also participated.
While Bryce James' team lost 77-69, the Boozer twins stole the spotlight with their strong performances.
Allen helped the Nightrydas Elite win their third consecutive Peach Jam championship, with averages of 15 points (57.5% from the field), 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
With a lot of players in the Class of 2025 already committed, which college do you think Bryce James will choose?
