Chatsworth combo guard Velijah Miller received a massive scholarship offer from Division 1 team Bryant Bulldogs on Thursday. The offer prompted a reply from Bryce James, Sierra Canyon guard and son of LeBron James. Miller, who previously played for Sierra Canyon, before transferring to Chatsworth before the season and teaming up with Alijah Arenas, son of Gilbert Arenas.
Miller and James exchanged comments on social media in a back-and-forth between the former and current Sierra Canyon players.
"Yup," Bryce James commented.
"@_justbryce you alr know🤞🏽," Velijah Miller replied.
California is home to a plethora of great five-star guards, with many talented players considered underrated. This includes Miller, who has now formed a dynamic duo with five-star shooting guard Alijah Arenas for Chatsworth High School. The team has been undefeated with the duo so far, with a 6-0 record.
As for Bryce, the Sierra Canyon guard is a three-star shooting guard who missed the first few games of the season. He is ranked by 247Sports Composite as the No. 242 player overall and the No. 44 shooting guard and the No. 29 player in the state of California for the Class of 2025.
Bryce James' mom, Savannah, reveals he is up for another college visit soon
Meanwhile, during an episode of her "Everybody's Crazy" podcast on Tuesday, Savannah James, mother of Bryce James, revealed that her youngest son will be having another college visit soon and that she will be coming with him on that one too. She previously went with the three-star to Arizona earlier in the month.
“My crazy for today is the fact that I’m about to go to a college visit with my second child and I don’t know how to feel about it," the mom of three said in her podcast (per Athlon Sports). "It’s exciting. I’m excited but that means another one is going to be leaving the nest. So that's kind of crazy for me. ... It’s fine. All the emotions but it's fine. I’m good.”
However, Savannah did not reveal which school they would be visiting.
While Bryce does not have any official offers from schools such as USC and Arizona, they have shown interest. However, the youngest of LeBron James' sons does have offers from the Duquesne Dukes and the Ohio State Buckeyes, with the Buckeyes being considered the favorites, as the James family is originally from Ohio.
