Bryce James has been sharing the highlights of other players as of late. His latest one was sharing the highlights of former Sierra Canyon player Wesley Waddles.
He now plays for Viewpoint High School in Calabasas, California.
The highlights came from a game that Waddles and the Viewpoint High School Patriots played during the Core Prep Fall Classic last Saturday at Heritage Christian High School in California. It was Wesley Waddles himself who shared the highlights.
Viewpoint took on the St. Francis High School Golden Knights during that game. However, the Patriots lost this one by a wide margin, 57-39. It was Waddles who carried the team though, driving to the rim and constantly attacking the basket against the defenders in black.
He also showed that he has an outside touch by draining a three and by also being able to hit a fadeaway shot with a hand in his face.
The Core Prep Fall Classic was an invitational where several teams from across the country participated, including teams like Missouri's Chaminade High School, where Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum came from.
Prominent high school players such as 5-star 2026 prospect Alijah Arenas also participated, playing for Chatsworth High School and taking on Windward.
Wesley Waddles' connection to LeBron James' son, Bryce James
Wesley Waddles, who can play both as a shooting guard and as a small forward, used to play JV basketball for California basketball powerhouse Sierra Canyon, where Bryce James spent most of his high school days and is enrolled there now. He also played varsity lacrosse while at Sierra Canyon.
Waddles then moved to Viewpoint High School in 2023. He is now a senior there and is a starter for the team, averaging 15.1 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist per game. However, unlike Bryce, he remains unrated.
As for Bryce James, he is about to begin his senior year at Sierra Canyon. There is some dispute if he is a three-star recruit or a four-star recruit, but he remains one of the school's top players. On3 ranks him as a four-star and the No. 98 overall, while 247Sports and Rivals list him as a three-star.
Duquesne and Ohio State are currently trying to get the Sierra Canyon guard's commitment, though USC, his brother Bronny James' alma mater, is also interested in him. On3 predicts that he will likely go to Ohio State.
