Bryce James and Cameron Boozer are two of the most recognizable high school basketball stars today, as they are the sons of former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates LeBron James and Carlos Boozer respectively. The question is, who among them is the better high school basketball star?

Bryce James plays for Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California, and is considered a three-star prospect, ranked No. 205 overall by On3. Since his father went directly from high school to the NBA, he is not considered a legacy for any college but has now committed to Arizona.

When he played for his AAU team, Strive For Greatness, he averaged 6.9 points per game during last summer's Nike EYBL Peach Jam, and 2.2 rebounds per contest.

His best game of the tournament was against eventual Peach Jam champion Nightrydas Elite, where he scored 21 points and grabbed six boards. That team was led by Cameron Boozer and his twin brother, Cayden.

Meanwhile, Cameron Boozer is ranked far above Bryce James, as he is the No. 2 overall from the Class of 2025. While he has always had brother Cayden at his side, Cameron has always been dominant, with Cayden being the consummate playmaker for him.

Together, they won state championships for Columbus and three straight Nike EYBL Peach Jam championships. Their Nightrydas Elite was the first team to sweep the 15U, 16U and 17U competitions. In his junior year, Cameron Boozer averaged 21.1 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 4.2 apg and 2.0 bpg.

While Bryce James gets media attention due to his father, Cameron and Cayden Boozer have been a dominant force as one of the best duos in high school basketball, and they have the championships to prove it.

How scouts view Bryce James and Cameron Boozer

A lot has been said regarding Bryce James and Cameron Boozer by scouts. 247Sports' Adam Finkelstein believes the youngest James is still a work in progress.

"Bryce needs to be given time and space to run his own race though," Finklestein said. "He may not be the dynamic athlete or playmaker some expect at first, but he is a fundamentally sound player with solid perimeter size and a good early skill-set.
He possesses clear shooting potential with naturally soft touch, compact release, and the ability to make both threes and pull-ups. His left hand is advanced for his age and he also has a good early understanding of the game. Physically, he has a solid build for an underclassman, but is still just growing into his body a bit and so far from a finished product."

Meanwhile, On3's Jamie Shaw is all praises for Cameron Boozer.

"Cameron Boozer plays at one level, never too high or never too low," he said. "He plays with excellent balance in all parts of the game. The jump shot has a smooth release. He is an excellent defensive rebounder and a high-level outlet passer.
He has strong hands when he gathers the ball. Does not mind getting physical and will play with and through contact. He has good straight-line athleticism and runs the floor very well. Has average burst in short space, but he understands angles and rotations on the defensive end very well. Never rushed. Good pace."

While their senior year is not over yet, it is clear who is having a better year, especially as Bryce James has missed the first part of the season.
