Laura Govan, ex-wife of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas and mother of Alijah Arenas, took to Instagram to give her take on the Los Angeles wildfire. The wildfire started within an area of 20 acres but spread rapidly to more than 200 acres in just 20 minutes.
Govan shared an exasperated update, talking about the high taxes and the lack of water in the fire hydrants to take out the fire:
"Imagine paying California taxes, LA taxes, and high property taxes... only to find no water in the fire hydrants. Let that sink in," she stated in her story.
Talent manager Travis Wilson collaborated with American rapper 'The Game' to help provide a home for the affected families. Laura Govan also took to her Instagram to reshare their story:
"Me & @travforthestars Are helping 10 families effected by the fires here get into @airbnb for a week free of charge 🙏🏾 Have the head of your household Dm @travforthestars Now for more details (Must have an identification or drivers license with address in the effected areas)," read the story.
UFC CEO Dana White also offered his help to the affected families, sharing Clark's County Firefighters' Instagram post which stated that they have sent units to assist in combating the fire:
"Love this!!! Already called @joelombardonv Much respect to all first responders from Nevada and California. ANYTHING you need from Me or @ufc. We got you!" White captioned the story.
