Jerome Myles, a Class of 2025 five-star wide receiver from Corner Canyon High School, committed to the USC Trojans on Wednesday. He was at a commitment event and there were various caps representing USC, Utah, and Texas A&M.
Many recruits in the past have used a multitude of collegiate hats to make their college decision. He picked up the USC hat and announced his pledge on social media. He was initially committed to Ole Miss but decommitted in June 2024.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound receiver helped his team win the 6A state championship in 2023. Myles runs a 4.48 and uses his size and speed to make plays in the passing game. He's been one of the premier targets for his quarterback, who has been getting him the ball at a high rate.
He only played in two games this season, totaling nine receptions for 246 yards and four touchdowns. His season was cut short due to an injury that was rumored to be a torn ACL. He announced via Instagram that his season was over.
The receiver's top 10 list included the University of Georgia, Ohio State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Miami, Penn State, LSU and Utah. All of which are powerhouse college football programs but he ultimately decided on USC for his college football career.
USC has had a history of top quarterbacks and wide receivers. Players like Caleb Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown are stars in the NFL. USC is known to get some of the best athletes and does fairly well on the recruiting trail and Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley is a major selling point to recruits.
Riley is one of the best offensive minds in college football and gets the ball to his playmakers in space.
