Junior college running back Waymond Jordan committed to USC's 2025 class at the SCI Building in downtown Pensacola on Sunday. The four-star prospect chose Lincoln Riley's program over offers from UCF, Mississippi State and North Carolina, among others.
Jordan spent the last two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. After a redshirt year in 2022 and a reserve role in 2023, he exploded onto the scene in 2024.
Jordan amassed 1,612 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns, leading Hutchinson to a national championship and earning NJCAA Division I Football Offensive Player of the Year honor. Over his JUCO career, he totaled 1,814 yards on 245 carries with 22 touchdowns.
Jordan was initially a lightly recruited prospect out of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida. He originally committed to UCF in early December but opted not to sign. Less than a month later, he made the decision to join Lincoln Riley's program at USC.
"It’s going to be a lot of excitement when I get there, seeing what it’s like to live on the west coast," Jordan told the PNJ about his USC commitment.
Jordan is the No. 1 JUCO RB in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Waymond Jordan's addition gives USC's 2025 class a total of 28 players: 22 committed prospects and six transfer players.
"They told me I have a great opportunity to play right now, and I’m an every-down back," Jordan told the PNJ. " I fit his offense and philosophy. If I can play a lot of downs, I’ll have an opportunity to go to the NFL. That’s always been my dream. To do that with Coach Riley is a dream come true.”
Jordan joins former New Mexico standout Eli Sanders as the second running back to transfer into USC’s program this offseason. Their arrivals complement a promising backfield that includes freshman Bryan Jackson and redshirt freshman A’Marion Peterson.
The Trojans also signed two running backs in the 2025 class: four-star Harry Dalton from Dinwiddie High School (Virginia) and three-star Riley Wormley from Southlake Carroll High School (Texas).
