Rutgers signee Christopher Nwuli has left Sierra Canyon High School to join Dynamic Prep, Irving. The news broke out on Friday as Nwuli left Bryce James' high school to join Jaden Toombs, Jermaine O'Neal and more.
Famous basketball page Recruit News took to Instagram to post about Nwuli's transfer to the Texas school.
Hoops fans took to the comments section of the post to give their reactions to the transfer.
"Lmaoooo Sierra Canyon really ain’t it no more," commented a fan.
This fan was happy for Nwuli:
"You gotta do what’s best for you! @nwuli.christopher 🔥."
"Sierra Canyon was too light for em," another fan commented.
Some fans were surprised by the timing of Nwuli's transfer.
"I still don’t understand how transfers are still allowed to happen this late into the season," commented a fan.
"Bro what? Who do sierra canyon have anymore? cofield and Hightower? why are players leaving that school? also sure the guy must've a plan for joining dynamic prep but in the middle of the season? surely somethings up because how on earth are transfers allowed so late in the season? can anyone tell me what's going on??" another fan questioned.
"Why these kids just keep transferring smh in the middle of the season too," another fan was not happy with the transfer timing.
Christopher Nwuli landed offers from programs such as Ohio State, UCLA, Louisville and USC before he signed with the Rutgers. He is ranked 108th nationally, 25th as a power forward, and 14th in California in the 2025 Class, per On3.
College basketball insider's comments on Christopher Nwuli
College basketball insider and recruiting director for ESPN, Paul Biancardi, talked about Christopher Nwuli's talents in a video posted by him on X after his commitment.
"A special athlete, a vertical athlete," Biancardi said. "A great lob finisher. Someone who can switch on the defensive end. He runs the floor and transitions so well and he hits the offensive glass. His offensive game in the half court is still developing but you don't find athletes better than him."
Nwuli will join Gevonte Ware, Lino Mark and Kaden Powers at Rutgers next season.
