Alijah Arenas' Chatsworth defeated Etiwanda last week. Arenas extended his streak of scoring 10 or more points in his last 39 games by scoring 29 points, collecting five rebounds, and handing out five assists while shooting 58%.

With this win, Chatsworth is now 4-0. The famous basketball page Ballislife posted highlights of the Chatsworth, CA native as he was efficient on both ends of the floor, scoring tough shots, finishing through contact and blocking shots.

Some of the fans were not happy about the competition Areans was playing against and took to comments to post their reactions:

"Lol his teammates look like they in middle school," commented a fan.
"Weak!! No one cares about scoring 40 on nobdies," commented another fan.
This fan wanted Areans to be challenged, "@callmeagentzero he proved himself already…are we waiting for college for him to be challenged? He’s already getting buckets on guys in the league."

On the other hand, other fans commended Areans for his skills and continuing to play at Chatsworth:

"This is how it used to be. Put your squad on by being a nationally great player. Not transferring To a top high school team," a fan was happy about Alijah Arenas playing at Chatsworth High School.
"He don’t even be going full speed," commented a fan.
This fan applauded Arenas' pace, "His pace is crazy. He doesn’t get sped up and plays in phase. Damn near a pro already."

Arenas appeared in 27 games during the 2022-23 season, averaging 30.3 points per game, 9.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game and 1.6 blocked shots. Last year, as a sophomore, Arenas averaged 33.0 points, grabbed 8.6 rebounds, handed out 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 35 games.

Ranked fourth nationally, second in the shooting guard position and third in California, the Class of 2026 guard has already received 17 offers from programs including Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Fresno State, UTEP, Washington State and more.

While it is still early, according to On3's prediction machine, the Arizona Wildcats have the highest probability of landing Arenas (48.6%). They are followed by UCLA (3.9%), Fresno State (3.3%) and California has a 2.8% chance of signing Arenas.
