Julian Lewis, the five-star recruit from Georgia, announced his commitment to the USC Trojans in August 2023. Since then, other programs such as the Colorado Buffaloes have persisted in their recruitment of the five-star athlete.
Lewis wore his high school team's white and gold uniform in his most recent social media post. However, supporters of the Deion Sanders-led team expressed their happiness upon seeing the suit, which bore a striking resemblance to the Buffaloes' attire. Many fans remarked that Lewis looked "good" in gold and white.
Colorado is in the running to flip the five-star quarterback along with the Indiana Hoosiers. Although the Buffs haven't flipped him yet, fans of the team are playing their part in making Lewis feel at home in their traditional uniform.
Fans urged the talented quarterback to switch to the Colorado-based program.
"Stick in that Black and Gold!" one fan wrote.
"Black and Gold, today, tomorrow, forever," another fan commented.
"Skoooo Buffs!" another fan wrote.
Julian Lewis is ranked no. 23 in the country and is the 4th-best quarterback from his class, as per On3 Industry Rankings. However, he is also the 4th-best overall prospect from the state of Georgia.
Indiana is rumored to be the favorite to flip 5-star QB Julian Lewis
The Indiana Hoosiers are leading the race to flip the five-star recruit from Carrollton High School, Julian Lewis, as per 247Sports' Tom Loy. The national recruiting analyst gave the Hoosiers the edge over Deion Sanders' Colorado.
In an interview with 247Sports, the analyst said:
"So now I'm watching Indiana and Colorado. If I had to pick between the two, I would give the edge to Indiana," Loy said, as per Sports Illustrated. "I think that staff is doing a phenomenal job. We all know about the relationship with Tino Sunseri ... Like I said, right now I give the edge to Indiana over Colorado and the field."
Other teams in contention are Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Texas, Florida, Ohio State, LSU, and Texas A&M, among others. The starting job at Indiana can be up for grabs next year as Ohio transfer Kurtis Rourke only has a year of eligibility left.
