High school basketball stars often link up with popular streamers, and Notre Dame High School star Tyran Stokes is no different. On Sunday, the No. 2 ranked overall prospect from the Class of 2026 appeared on popular Twitch and YouTube streamer Plaqueboymax's stream, where the two played some basketball together.
Plaqueboymax, or Max for short, looked short indeed next to the 6-foot-7 small forward, though he did try to dunk a ball and was lauded for the effort. However, some fans still made fun of him.
"Plaqueboymax while running looks like a lil kid 😂😂😂😂," one commenter joked.
"Someone said he was 5’9 oh heck nahh he ain’t 😭😭😭," added another commenter.
"tyran is like 6’7 😂😂😂max gotta be 5’8," another person quipped.
While Max was trying to put in an effort, he showed he could link up with Tyran Stokes. That did not stop the internet from poking fun at his run, however. They also made fun of his dunk attempt.
"POV: everyone sees what your legs actually look like behind the camera 💀," said one commenter.
"Bro running like a temple run character😂," joked another commenter.
"At his height that’s definitely a dunk!" one person pointed out.
Plaqueboymax is a popular streamer, with 1.16 million subscribers on YouTube, as well as 1.5 million followers on Twitch. He usually streams video games, but also does IRL content, much like what he did with Stokes on that stream. He also has some "just chatting" streams in his repertoire.
As for high school basketball stars teaming up with popular streamers, a famous one would be Bryce James showing up at Kai Cenat's stream and demolishing his friend in a one-on-one game.
Tyran Stokes and Notre Dame gearing up for showdown against Boozer Twins and Columbus
Tyran Stokes' Notre Dame Knights are sitting on a 15-2 record. While the next two games against Loyola and St. Francis are no easy tasks, Saturday's game against Miami, Florida's Christopher Columbus High School is considered to be the big one on the horizon.
The Explorers are led by five-star twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer, and also five-star 2026 prospect Caleb Gaskins. The team has one of the most stacked rosters in high school basketball, with plenty of five, four, and three-star talent.
