LSU is the only undefeated team remaining in the SEC and has moved up the rankings, going from No. 6 to No. 5. Their opponents actually posted a massive challenge to the Lady Tigers, with the game having seven ties and 13 lead changes throughout. Coach Kim Mulkey praised her squad for the gutsy effort they showed.

“They all just care about winning, and we just made plays,” she said after the game on Monday. “We’re going to make them sometimes and sometimes we’re not. They’re not afraid of the moment.”

LSU will be off until Sunday when the Lady Tigers will travel to Gainesville to face the Florida Gators. Following that, they will face the South Carolina Gamecocks, the defending NCAA national champions, on January 23.

Divine Bourrage on why she chose to go to LSU

Divine Bourrage chose Kim Mulkey's program over South Carolina, Arizona, Baylor, Illinois and Virginia Tech. The school came out as a favorite to land her after her official visit there. She made her decision earlier than expected.

She spoke to On3 after her visit, and then again after she announced her commitment to go to Louisiana next season.

“I like how Kim Mulkey is with her players,” Bourrage said after her visit to Baton Rouge. “She’s really loving with them and I feel that’s what a player needs. Then I’m heavy on the family aspect and I think that’s what stood out the most.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a big Kim Mulkey fan for a long time, so when they hit me up and offered me I almost cried about that. I’ve talked to coach Mulkey a lot over the phone and she’s big on family, so it makes sense she’s like that with her players."

Kim Mulkey's 2025 class includes four five-stars in No. 9-ranked Bourrage, No. 7-ranked Grace Knox, No. 10-ranked ZaKiyah Johnson and No. 29-ranked Bella Hines.
