ZaKiyah Johnson, one of Kentucky's most celebrated high school basketball players, tipped off her senior season in style as she led her team to a dominant victory over Campbell County. The LSU signee reshared a post celebrating Sacred Heart Academy's commanding 83-53 win on Tuesday night.

The Valkyries led 50-34 at halftime. By the third quarter, they further extended their dominance to 74-42.

ZaKiyah Johnson, a 6-foot small forward ranked No. 13 nationally by ESPN, stayed true to her star billing, as she showcased her versatility with 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Alongside her, 5-10 combo guard Brianna Wilkins also dropped 26 points while adding eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.

While the two practically dominated the game, 5-5 sophomore Amirah "Tootie" Jordan also made a big impact, contributing 14 points, eight assists and six steals. The team's strong defensive display undoubtedly also played a huge role in the victory, as it forced 26 turnovers, which led to 39 points.

Isabella Jayasuria led Campbell County with 19 points, including three 3-pointers, 10 rebounds and two assists.

ZaKiyah Johnson signs with LSU, excited about playing for Kim Mulkey

ZaKiyah Johnson signed with LSU, choosing the Tigers over Louisville, Kentucky and other top college programs, on Nov. 13. The five-star recruit has her sights set on excelling under LSU coach Kim Mulkey. The Tigers signed four five-stars last month, all ranked in the top 30, giving them the nation's top signing class.

"I'm so excited to play for Coach Mulkey," Johnson said. "She lets her players be who they are and embraces everything they bring. … I can't wait to be under her for four years."

ZaKiyah Johnson enters her senior year as one of the most decorated players in Kentucky high school basketball history. She's a three-time Gatorade Kentucky Girls Basketball Player of the Year and three-time Sweet 16 MVP.

With over 3,000 career points and 1,200 rebounds, she's set the benchmark for excellence in the state, and she'll be instrumental in the Valkyries' quest for a fifth straight state title this season.
