Three-star wide receiver Montavin Quisenberry from Boyle County High School in Kentucky flipped his commitment from West Virginia to Kentucky on Wednesday. He had been committed to the Mountaineers since June, influenced in part by the school’s ties to the school's coach Neal Brown.

With Quisenberry decommitment, the Mountaineers now have 21 commits in its 2025 class. He shared his commitment update on X, writing:

"After careful consideration and talks with my family, I have decided to decommit from West Virginia University. The decision was not made lightly, as I have tremendous respect for the WVU coaching staff and team. With that being said, I am committing to KENTUCKY! Go Cats."

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound wide receiver had gained attention from several major programs, including Kent State, Louisiana Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss, Louisville and Virginia Tech. However, it was Mark Stoops and Kentucky’s persistence over the past two years that ultimately led him to choose the Wildcats.

Quisenberry has made significant contributions to his team, the Boyle County Rebels, who are currently undefeated at 7-0. He played a crucial role in a standout performance against St. Edward (Ohio) on Sept. 8, leading his team to a surprising 38-21 upset victory. So far this season, the receiver has recorded 27 receptions for 492 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 439 yards and eight scores.

Montavin Quisenberry has helped the Boyle County Rebels secure four consecutive Class 4A State Titles, and they now have their sights set on clinching a fifth straight championship.

Kentucky continues flipping game with Montavin Quisenberry

Earlier this week, Kentucky secured a commitment from Dyllon Williams, who flipped from Missouri. He decommitted from the Tigers on Oct. 10 after visiting the Wildcats.

Similarly, Montavin Quisenberry made the switch from West Virginia after officially visiting Kentucky last weekend for the Vanderbilt game. Despite the 20-13 loss, Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow and others continued to recruit this in-state talent.

Montavin Quisenberry is the 20th player in the Kentucky 2025 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 23 in the nation and No. 12 in the Southeastern Conference. The school now has four wide receivers committed in this cycle.
