Three-time NBA champion and Miami Heat legend Dwayne Wade has always been very supportive of his alma mater, Marquette. The former Golden Eagles star showed some love to a future Golden Eagles star in four-star shooting guard Adrien Stevens.
The Bullis School star was playing in the final of the four-team Signature Series bracket tournament against Dynamic Prep on Sunday.
Stevens and the Bullis School lost that game to Jermaine O'Neal Jr. and his squad, 87-65. But his performance during the City of Palms Classic in Florida still received a nod from Dwayne Wade in the comments section.
Adrien Stevens is considered the No. 83 overall recruit by 247Sports and the No. 15 shooting guard from the Class of 2025. He is also the No. 3 overall in his class and has been described by scouts as a dangerous attacker in the open court, but someone who can also hit a 3-point shot. He has a large body and likes to use this in mismatches.
The Bullis School guard chose this school over others such as Butler, Georgetown, Penn State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia, Stanford, George Mason and Florida State. He is one of four Class of 2025 signees for Marquette.
Which Class of 2025 players have already signed for Marquette
Marquette, located in Wisconsin, has already managed to recruit four high school stars from the Class of 2025, including Adrien Stevens. All four of these commits have already signed, which means they are locked to the school.
Aside from Stevens, the school has recruited and signed four-star Long Island Lutheran point guard Nigel James. He is the No. 90 overall from the Class of 2025, also considered the No. 3 player in New York by 247Sports. He is teammates with Syracuse commit Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo Anthony.
Another four-star who has committed to Marquette is Grace Christian shooting guard Michael Philips, ranked No. 101 by On3 and the No. 2 overall in the state of North Carolina. He and Stevens are seen to be competing for that shooting guard spot in the Golden Eagles roster next year.
Finally, the fourth person the Golden Eagles recruited from the Class of 2025 so far is Rolling Meadows small forward Ian Miletic, who chose the Golden Eagles over Loyola and Illinois. He is ranked 104 overall by 247Sports and the No. 1 player in the state of Illinois.
