Three-star linebacker Cameron White is a monster against the run and has drawn attention due to his elite closing speed, good bend and explosive blitz. He reopened his recruitment last month after initially committing to UCF in the summer and has been visiting other programs, including the Michigan Wolverines.
White officially visited Michigan over the weekend and saw the Wolverines fall 38–17 to the Oregon Ducks. However, speaking with Michigan recruiting insider Aidan Sen, he said:
"The visit was great and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game. The tradition is definitely something I could see myself being a part of."
The Michigan coaching staff offered White on Aug. 21, and his visit met all of his expectations. He expressed admiration for Ann Arbor and the style of defense played by Michigan.
With his decommitment from UCF, White doesn’t have a list of favorites so far but he is high on Michigan.
"Michigan is definitely a top school that I am considering and this visit was a step in the right direction for our relationship," White told Michigan Rivals.
Per On3 Industry Rankings, White is the No. 754 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 82 linebacker in the 2025 class and the No. 98 recruit in Florida. He is also a standout basketball player.
Michigan Wolverines are also battling for a four-star linebacker in the 2025 class
Four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng is a key target for Michigan's 2025 class, and Wolverines linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary has been working tirelessly to recruit him.
Owusu-Boateng has already visited Ann Arbor on multiple occasions, including for Michigan's 27–24 win over USC on Sept. 21. He also attended Michigan's game against Oregon last weekend.
Owusu-Boateng's recruitment has earned praise from his recruiting coach Cliff Hill who commended Michigan for its exceptional recruiting efforts. Hill told Aidan Sen that the Wolverines “always do a first-rate job of recruiting” and raved about the program’s strength across all areas.
Following his visit, Owusu-Boateng said he felt "great" about the school. Speaking with 247 Sports, he explained his potential with the school:
"The countless opportunities that are at place for myself if I went to Michigan (stood out)."
Owusu-Boateng has narrowed his options to Texas, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC and the Wolverines.
