Four-star Mississippi State commit Mario Nash Jr. promised Florida State Seminoles coach Mike Norvell and offensive line coach Alex Atkins that he would make a gameday visit this season. The offensive tackle fulfilled it by attending their game against Clemson on Saturday.

After concluding his trip, Nash decommitted from Mississippi State. Rivals recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman has predicted Florida State will secure his pledge for its 2025 class.

The Seminoles were the first Power 4 program to offer the 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect and they remained in contact despite his commitment to the Bulldogs.

"They have been in contact often even though I am committed," Nash told Rivals on Friday. "They have made it clear from the beginning that I'm a priority for them. I am just looking forward to getting back on campus and get a feel of the atmosphere again."

Mario Nash Jr. is ranked by Rivals as the No. 183 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 9 offensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 10 recruit in Mississippi.

Florida State is ranked No. 18 in the nation with 11 committed players in the 2025 class. It has two four-star offensive prospects: Solomon Thomas and Peyton Joseph. Mario Nash will be a strong addition to it, which also features blue-chip prospects like wide receiver CJ Wiley, defensive lineman Kevin Wynn and running back Byron Louis.

Mario Nash Jr. made multiple trips to Florida State for unofficial visits before his commitment to Mississippi State in June. The Seminoles hosted him alongside three-star interior offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis on Saturday.

Nash watched the Seminoles lose 29-13 to Clemson but he was impressed with the offense.

"The O-Line did pretty good," Nash said. "I know they've got a lot of key players are out and stuff. But the main thing was that even when they were down 17-0, they kept fighting. That's what they did with my recruitment."

Florida State will play against Duke on Oct. 18 after an open week.
