“I’m coming home; go Tigers!”
Besides Missouri, Randall had offers from 13 other colleges. The list included Bryant, California, Creighton and Illinois, among others. He visited Missouri back in June and took a long time before finalizing his ultimate college destination. “Missouri has always been home for me, and when I got to campus, I felt like the relationship got even better and the culture there was great. I feel like as a player I will do great there.”
Nicholas Randall at a glance following Missouri Tigers commitment
Nicholas Randall is the second commitment for the Missouri Tigers this season. Earlier, Dennis Gates secured the commitment of No. 128 nationally-ranked recruit from the 2025 class, Aaron Rowe. Gates will be hoping to break the team's losing streak of 19 games straight in SEC play this season and Randall could be pivotal in this.
Randall is No. 120 in the top basketball recruits of 2025 and sits at the 26th spot for the top power forward recruits in 2025, as per the 247Sports Composite Rating. Originally from St. Louis, Randall used to play for Vashon High until his transfer to AZ Compass Prep High School.
Randall has performed well at Compass Prep, scoring an average of 10.8 points and grabbing 5.2 rebounds per game. He also displayed impressive shooting skills, hitting 60 percent of his shots from the field. Adding Nicholas Randall to the Missouri Tigers squad will allow coach Dennis Gates more options and strengthen in two critical areas: the front court and lead guard.
Gates now boasts a roster with two top-150 recruits, positioning Missouri with the 26th-ranked recruiting class in the nation. The Missouri Tigers kick off the season on Monday against the Memphis Tigers.
