Aaliyah Chavez, the No. 1 prospect in women's high school basketball, continues to show her dominant display of basketball. Famous basketball page Overtime Select took to their Instagram page to drop a highlight of the Lubbock, Texas native from Monterey's match against Lubbock on Dec. 10.

Chavez is seen converting a tough layup with three defenders around her and continues to signal the "too small," hand gesture while heading back:

"Aaliyah got ice in her veins 🧊❄️ @the__aaliyah_chavez," the post was captioned.

Many hoops fans commented on the post, but one take stood out from the rest:

"my sister has to guard her the day after christmas😭😭 my sister gonna get cooked," this fan was worried about her sister having to guard Chavez.

Overtime Select also replied to the comment:

"@paxton_daniels21 I’m so sorry 😞."

For her school, Chavez is averaging 34.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 21 games this season. Over three years, Chavez has played 129 games and is averaging 31.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.1 steals per. Her best season was her junior year, in which she played 35 games, averaging a double-double of 37.8 ppg and 10.1 rpg, along with 4.4 apg and 3.5 spg.

What is the latest on Aaliyah Chavez's recruitment?

Hoops fans await Chavez's college decision. The 5-foot-9 point guard has received offers from some of the top programs in the nation. These include Texas Tech, South Carolina, Texas, LSU, USC, UCLA, and North Carolina.

While speaking with On3, she talked about the kind of coach she wants to play for.

"I don’t want a coach that’s low energy, and I need to make sure that they’re going to be there the whole time," Chavez said in July, adding, "I don’t want a coach that’s just going to be there for two years. I want them to be there all four years."

According to On3's recruitment prediction machine, Oklahoma leads the race to land Chavez with 37.0%. However, UCLA (visited on Oct. 27) is not that far behind as they hold a 32.3% chance.

Texas Tech, LSU, Texas, South Carolina, USC, Tennessee, Arizona, and Alabama have a less than 10% chance of signing the Monterey High School player. Which program do you see Aaliyah Chavez play for next season?
