The four-star running back from the class of 2025, Alvin Henderson, is one of the ten best players at his position in the country. He is also a future teammate of four-star quarterback Deuce Knight at Auburn.
On Wednesday, the 5-foot-9 rusher shared a post on his Instagram account that consisted of multiple pictures of the soon-to-be Auburn duo in the Tigers' uniform. Naturally, the post created a lot of buzz on social media as comments flooded the post.
One particular comment was made by NCAA Insider and National Football Recruiting Expert, Hayes Fawcett.
"Duo gonna go crazy at Auburn," read the comment.
Henderson flipped his commitment from Penn State to the Auburn Tigers on June 21 this year, whule Knight overturned his decision to play for Notre Dame and committed to the Tigers on October 2, 2024.
Henderson is ranked no.153 nationally and is the 9th-best running back in the country, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the 12th-best overall prospect from the state of Alabama.
On the other hand, Knight is the 37th-best overall recruit in the country and is the 7th-best quarterback from his class, as per On3. He is also the second-best overall recruit from his home state of Mississippi.
Alvin Henderson began his senior season with a dominant performance
Alvin Henderson, the four-star rusher from Elba High School, started his senior season with a bang, rushing for an incredible 325 yards and five touchdowns in a dominant win for Elba. So far this season, he has racked up 2034 yards and 36 touchdowns on 156 carries in just 7 games.
Last season, as a junior, the Auburn commit broke state records en route to accumulating 3,523 yards and a state record 61 touchdowns on 225 carries in 14 total games.
"Alvin Henderson is the most productive of the top running back prospects in this cycle coming out of his junior season. He plays at a lower level in Alabama, but he is utterly dominant against that competition, as you would expect from a blue-chip prospect," On3's Director of Scouting Charles Power said about Henderson.
Henderson is one of the best players in his class and received offers from top CFB programs such as Penn State, Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, USC and Ole Miss, among others. He was previously committed to the Penn State Nittany Lions but flipped his commitment to the Tigers in June.
