The Kansas Jayhawks came out of the Early Signing Period with the No. 58 class in the nation, per 247Sports. They signed 15 athletes and are still receiving commitments from other prospects. Conlee Hovey, a Kansas-based TE became the latest recruit to pledge his allegiance to the Jayhawks.
He has the chance to be the Jayhawks' 16th signee from the class as Lance Leipold and his coaching staff will look to secure his signature soon.
If he signs with the program, Hovey will join four-star edge rusher Adrian Holley and three-star prospects Jaden Nickens, Chris McCorkle, David McComb and Malachi Curvey.
This season has not been a good one for the Jayhawks, winning just five of their 12 games. However, they defeated three ranked teams, including then-No. 6-ranked BYU on Nov. 16.
