No. 1 recruit Aaliyah Chavez has been under the radar of plenty of colleges in the nation. With a 98 rating from ESPN and On3, the Monterey High School guard will enter her senior year this season.

Chavez took it to Instagram to show some love to the Monterey High School dance squad. She posted pictures with the group and even tagged members in her story:

"Hang the pony's!!!!," she captioned the story.

Aaliyah Chavez has played three seasons for Monterey Varsity Basketball so far. In these three seasons, Chavez played 39 games as a freshman and averaged 25.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 2.3 steals. During her sophomore year, she improved her stats, scoring 30 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.1 steals in 34 games.

In her junior year, the Lubbock, Texas, native played 35 games and averaged 37.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 3.5 steals. However, now it is time for Chavez to decide on her collegiate career.

The No. 1 prospect has received offers from LSU, Michigan, Texas Tech, Texas, South Carolina, USC, North Carolina and more. The long list was narrowed to 10 including Arizona, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA and USC.

"I just want to thank all the coaches for their time invested into recruiting me on this journey," she wrote. "After much consideration me and my family have come down to a list of my top 10 schools."

Which college has the highest chance of recruiting Aaliyah Chavez?

While Chavez did trim the long list of offers to 10, the On3 prediction machine has highlighted Texas Tech, Texas and LSU as the favorites to recruit the Mamba Invitational MVP.

Texas Tech is in the first spot with a 32.5% chance of recruiting Aaliyah Chavez. However, it is closely followed by Texas (28.4%) and LSU (24.4%). Both South Carolina and USC have a 1.8% prediction.

Chavez became the first female player to write the SLAM Basketball Diary which featured the best male high school players, before Chavez broke this tradition. She wrote about what was in her mind before she crossed the 3000-point mark in high school.

Chavez also talked to On3 about the kind of coach she wants:

"I don’t want a coach that’s low energy, and I need to make sure that they’re going to be there the whole time. I don’t want a coach that’s just going to be there for two years … I want them to be there all four years."
