Is Aaliyah Chavez going to the Texas Tech Lady Raiders?
Aaliyah Chavez is currently in the process of finalizing her ultimate college destination. Fans are closely monitoring her every move for any hints that might give away information as to where the Monterey Lubbock, TX guard will head for her collegiate career. She currently has 27 offers on the table. The youngster has narrowed the list to five potential prospects: Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, UCLA, and South Carolina.
But her visit to Texas Tech on November 11 got fans buzzing with excitement, speculating that Lady Raiders could be the final pick for the 5-foot-9 point guard. However, Chavez made it clear that she hasn't decided yet. She posted a video highlight of her visit on Instagram, adding the caption:
"Confidence is not 'Will they like me?' Confidence is I'll be fine if they don't." #OFFICIAL #NOTCOMMITED 👀👀"
According to On3, Texas Tech only has a 9.8% chance of securing the commitment of the top player in her class. The real contest seems to be between Oklahoma and UCLA, which have a 37% and 32% chance of securing Chavez’s commitment, respectively.
