Nate Ament, the No. 4 recruit in the Class of 2025, is one of the five top 10 recruits who have not made a commitment yet. Being the No. 3 small forward and best player in Virginia, Ament has gained a 95 Scout Grade by ESPN.

ESPN's recruiting insider, Paul Biancardi, provided an update on Ament's future plans. During their conversation, Ament mentioned that he will be visiting three additional schools in February 2025, including SEC powerhouse Kentucky.

"I will take two visits in February: The North Carolina at Duke game and then Arizona at Kansas State," Ament said. "I'm going to try and squeeze in a Kentucky visit as well. I want to play for a coach and staff I can trust. A program's plan for me and for other players they are recruiting is important. How they value me as a player and person is most important to me."

Nate Ament averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.7 assists per game in his first season for Highland School. While playing in the Under Armour Elite 24 camp, Ament led his team with 16.0 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 42.7% from the 3-point line.

Off the court, Ament signed a deal with the 15-time NBA All-Star Shaquille O'Neal and Reebok on Oct. 17 which made him the fourth-highest NIL-valued player in high school basketball. His current NIL valuation stands at $1.3 million (according to On3), trailing fellow stars AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson.

Nate Ament talks about Kentucky Wildcats and Mark Pope

Nate Ament also shared his thoughts on the Kentucky program and coach Mark Pope while talking to ESPN.

"Mark Pope has been here a few times," he said. "He's a high-energy coach. He pours that into his players. Watching his team, he puts his players in position to succeed. Their spacing is so good. It's a very appealing system, and coach Pope is such a high-character person. You feel his energy."

On3's recruiting prediction machine On3's recruiting prediction system predicts that Tennessee has the best chance of recruiting Ament, with a 23% likelihood. However, Kansas State is not far behind, with a 20.2% projection, Kansas State with 17.3%, and Texas with a 14.4% likelihood of attracting Ament.
