AJ Dybantsa, the No. 1 ranked 2025 prospect, has been compared to many NBA players, both active and retired. Some of the most common ones include Paul George and NBA legend Tracy McGrady. Slam High School posted some of his highlights, including that famous under-both-legs dunk he did in Hawaii last month.

Dybantsa has been called by fans as a "Modern Day T-Mac" because several see McGrady in him. The comparison with the NBA legend has gotten several fans talking.

"Nowhere near Tmac in high school but he nice tho," one person pointed out.
"I never understand the McGrady comps for guys like this. McGrady moved like he was 6’4, Dyabantsa is fluid but no where close (I have been a TMac hater so this is not mean to glaze em)," another commenter said.
"For y’all saying he don’t play like Tmac, yall have to actually watch the games nd not just dunking highlights. He for sure the truth," another fan argued.

Meanwhile, others were comparing him to other NBA players, not just McGrady.

"Looks like a more skilled RJ Barrett not Tmac, from the looks of it he might be better than Tmac and I’m not tryna diss Tmac he’s literally my favorite athlete not just basketball player," one person said.
"More like Andrew Wiggins he tuff tho 🔥," another commenter added.
"I like the KG comparison wayyy better than McGrady.. If KG came out in 2025 his game would be just like this, he can’t help it he didn’t need the 3 back then 🤷🏾‍♂️😂," another fan wrote.

The No. 1 ranked prospect from the class of 2026, Dybantsa announced his commitment to BYU last November. He is expected to be a one-and-done and leave for the NBA after a year.

AJ Dybantsa impresses at the Iverson Classic

As for AJ Dybantsa, he and his team, the Utah Prep Athletes, just came back from a successful two-game trip to New Jersey for the Iverson Classic. Dybantsa was named the Most Outstanding Player of the event and even impressed NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.
