Julian Lewis, a four-star recruit from Carrollton High School, was scheduled for a visit to Indiana this weekend for the Hoosiers' game against the Michigan Wolverines. There was a lot of buzz surrounding his visit to Indiana, but, according to Rivals' X account, the visit has been called off.
Rivals' X post on Thursday comfirmed that the quarterback won't attend Indiana's game against Michigan on Sunday.
"Despite previous reports, @AdamGorney has confirmed that 5-star QB Julian Lewis will NOT be visiting Indiana this weekend for its game against Michigan," read the caption of the post.
Interestingly, Lewis' last visit was to Colorado, on October 26, for its game against Cincinnati. The Buffaloes are serious contenders to flip Lewis' commitment from the USC Trojans.
Colorado fans were quick to react to the Rivals post and speculated about the Buffaloes flipping the star quarterback's commitment.
"I tried to tell Indiana fans… Colorado lock," one fan said.
"He’s a Buff!!" another fan commented.
"Buffs," another fan wrote.
However, some fans criticized the four-star quarterback's approach to his visits.
"This dude sucks lol," one fan wrote.
"This kid changes his plans every other day, is he good enough to deal with all that?" another fan wrote.
"Fellas, I think it might be time to have a discussion," another fan commented.
Colorado will have to find a quarterback for the future once Shedeur Sanders decides to declare for the NFL Draft. Lewis might be the perfect fit for the Deion Sanders-led side.
Julian Lewis announced his commitment to the USC Trojans way back in August 2023
The four-star quarterback, Julian Lewis, pledged his allegiance to Lincoln Riley's USC on August 22, 2023. He chose the Trojans over top programs such as Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and Auburn.
Lewis' main reason to join USC was Riley's work with quarterbacks. The third-year coach has worked with many talented quarterbacks, such as Caleb Williams, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Lewis will hope to become an elite quarterback under the Trojans' head coach.
"At the end of the day, it is about what Coach Riley does with quarterbacks," the 6-0 quarterback told On3 after his commitment. "Coach Riley develops quarterbacks, he really knows how to manage the room and he knows how to feature guys at that position. The track record he has with quarterbacks really made a big difference in my recruitment."
Julian Lewis is ranked No. 36 nationally and is the seventh-best quarterback in the country, as per On3. He is also the fifth-best overall prospect from the state of Georgia.
