Jahkeem Stewart, a five-star defensive lineman, has received a lot of interest from some of the best programs in the country. He is currently sitting on offers from LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, USC, and Oregon, with the Tigers leading the way with a 93.3% chance of landing him, as per On3.
Stewart visited most of these programs, however, Ohio State commit Tavien St. Claire wants the five-star defensive lineman to pledge his allegiance to the Buckeyes. The five-star quarterback from Bellefontaine shared a post by Recruit Access on his Instagram story and urged Stewart to go with Ohio State.
"cmon home fam," Claire wrote in his caption.
The Ohio-based quarterback announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on June 21 last year. He chose Ryan Day's program over others like Louisville, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, and Penn State.
Although Stewart is expected to commit to the LSU Tigers, the Ohio State Buckeyes are also in the race with the fourth-best odds of landing the recruit.
Jahkeem Stewart is ranked No. 15 in the country and is the third-best defensive lineman in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Louisiana.
Jahkeem Stewart took an official visit to Ohio State on the last weekend of October
Ohio State was the latest team to host Jahkeem Stewart on the last weekend of October. He is also expected to visit the Buckeyes in the final stretch of the regular season.
On3 analyst Steve Wiltfong spoke about Stewart's recruiting.
"An unofficial visit, I think that shows you how high Ohio State really is on (Stewart’s) list, as the Buckeyes battle Oregon, LSU and USC down the stretch for one of the most coveted players regardless of position in the country," he said on 'Wiltfong Whiparound.’
The Buckeyes' Class of 2025 is ranked No. 2 in the country, only behind Alabama.
