Ohio State's men's basketball program continues to build excitement by adding another top prospect, A'mare Bynum, to its 2025 recruiting class. Bynum, a highly-touted 4-star forward, committed to the Buckeyes, choosing Ohio State over offers from Iowa, Colorado, LSU, and Xavier, among others.
Bynum, hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, cited the strong bond he built with Coach Diebler and Coach Walker as a key factor in his decision. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-8 and weighing 210 pounds, Bynum possesses an impressive skill set and versatility that set him apart on the recruiting trail.
Despite being listed as a center on 247Sports, he is slated to begin his career at Ohio State as a power forward, where his abilities can truly shine. He is ranked as the No. 104 overall prospect and the No. 17 center in the 247Sports composite rankings.
The forward's impressive high school career at Bryan High School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he posted remarkable statistics of 21.1 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and 2.3 blocks per game as a junior in 2023-24, speaks volumes about his potential impact at the collegiate level.

Bynum transferred to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, a renowned prep program this past offseason. His move to Link Academy, where he is also a teammate of another OSU target, guard Jerry Easter, reflects his commitment to honing his skills and preparing for the next level of competition.
A'mare Bynum talked about Official Visits and Recruitment last month
4-star senior A'mare Bynum has been on the radar of several prominent college basketball programs as he continued to undertake a series of official visits while openly considering his recruitment options.
With schools like Xavier, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Ohio State, and LSU heavily involved in his recruitment, Bynum earlier made it clear that he is keeping his options open, with no newer schools attempting to enter the mix at this time.
The young power forward spoke highly of his relationships with the coaching staff at each of these schools. A'mare Bynum's tone mostly highlighted the emphasis on making an immediate impact and the strength of his bond with key figures like Coach McCaffery at Iowa and Coach Miller at Xavier.
“I like them. I talk to Coach McCaffery a lot; he and I have a great bond. Me and Coach Sherman I talk often. They visited me at the Link and discussed my visit this week,” Bynum said during a conversation with Stock Risers last month.
A'mare Bynum had also expressed his positive interactions with Ohio State and LSU, as well as his strong relationship with the coaching staff at Colorado, who have outlined a vision for him as a versatile forward.
