On Friday, the Randle Lions took on the South Oak Cliff Bears in the 5A D2 Texas State Title. Randle came into the game with an unbeaten record of 15-0, whereas the Bears were on a 13-game win streak after dropping their first two games.
The game was thrilling. The Lions eventually took home the victory, thanks to a phenomenal performance from their young running back, Landen Williams-Callis.
The youngster impressed everyone and was named the Offensive MVP of the Game. He went off for 101 yards on 23 carries and scored a touchdown. His performance caught the eye of a five-star cornerback from the Class of 2025, Devin Sanchez.
Sanchez shared the post celebrating the sophomore running back on his Instagram story.
"one of dem ones," he wrote.
Landen Williams-Callis is ranked No. 21 in the country and is the third-best running back in his class, as per On3. He is also the fifth-best overall prospect in the state of Texas.

Landen Williams-Callis enjoyed an amazing season that saw him accumulate more than 2,000 yards.
The sophomore rusher was the main reason for the Lions' unbeaten title-winning season this year. He played 15 of the 16 games for Randle and carried the ball 207 times for 2,002 yards. He also scored 42 touchdowns and went on a 10-game streak of going for more than 100 yards.
Williams-Callis' best game of the season came on Oct.17 against the Lee Ganders. He rushed the ball 10 times and recorded 236 yards and five touchdowns. His performance led the Lions to a massive 69-7 win.
The rusher also accumulated 289 receiving yards on 19 receptions and scored a couple of touchdowns this season.
Landen Williams-Callis is among the best players at his position in the Class of 2027 and is sitting on offers from Texas, Alabama, SMU and Penn State.
According to On3, the Longhorns are the early favorites to land him.
