Three-star interior offensive lineman Will Conroy, who committed to the Oklahoma Sooners on Dec. 16, announced his transfer to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, on Saturday. The former standout at St. Ignatius High School in Ohio shared the news on X, writing:

"Announcing the next chapter of my journey; I will be attending IMG Academy. To St. Ignatius, Very grateful for the man I have become. Special thanks to my coaches, teachers and especially my teammates. All hail the blue and gold. Blessed and excited for this opportunity."

Conroy is ranked as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 13 overall prospect in Ohio, according to Rivals. His move to IMG Academy positions him among some of the nation's top football talents.

IMG, which finished this season with an 8-2 record, has developed several elite recruits in the last few years, including five-star prospects Jordan Seaton (Colorado) and Michael Carroll (Alabama). Seaton was the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2024 class, and Carroll was the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class.

At IMG, Conroy will join a promising roster of offensive line talent, including four-star interior linemen Breck Kolojay and G’Nivre Carr, as well as four-star offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe. All three remain uncommitted, which will give Conroy an opportunity to recruit them to Oklahoma's 2026 class.

Will Conroy raves about Oklahoma

Despite being an Ohio native, Will Conroy committed to Oklahoma over in-state Buckeyes, Oregon, Florida and Texas A&M. He is the third commitment in the Sooners' 2026 class, which ranks No. 8 in the Southeastern Conference.

"Definitely just the fact that I know I can be developed there," Conroy told OU Insider. "My coach right now is Lecharles Bentley, and for me, he’s the best coach in the country. And I just believe I can’t take too many steps back, and the development aspect of Oklahoma and Coach B is important to me.”

Conroy is a rising talent who has impressed analysts with his athleticism. College football recruiting expert Tom Lemming, co-host of CBS Sports’ "The Lemming Report," praised his footwork, speed off the ball and ability to finish plays.

“I want to be developed and I don’t want to make college my last stop," Conroy said. "So I thought [OU] was the best place for me.”

Conroy joins a promising group of recruits for the Sooners' 2026 class, which includes quarterback Jaden O’Neal and tight end Ryder Mix.
