"Forever blessed and will always appreciate your love, leadership, sacrifices and always providing even when you thought it wasn't possible. Grateful for everything you've did for me and my brothers and I promise I'll give you every ounce of that back till I can't no more," he added.

Dakorien Moore had committed to the LSU Tigers in August 2023 but flipped to the Oregon Ducks the next year in May. Last month, he sighed with Oregon.

He had received offers from Texas, Ohio State and Michigan among others, but chose to team up with Oregon.

Dakorien Moore earns MVP award

Five-star signee Dakorien Moore is the top wide receiver in the Class of 2025 and ranks second in Texas and fourth nationally. On Jan. 3, he finished with 136 all-purpose yards and clinched victory for Team Icon over Team Unstoppable in a 31-19 win, earning the MVP award in the Under Armour All-American Game.

"I ain't gonna lie, when that ball had another bounce, it came to me," Moore told ESPN. "It was God telling me to pick it up. As a returner, you want the ball so bad. You know, you don't get too many of those opportunities where the ball actually comes to you because they don't want to kick you the ball.
"So, when I took it, it was just God telling me get away. ... I wouldn't say it was too boring, but it felt a little too easy. Like all I did was run outside and it was just green grass, like they didn't want to come get me or something."

However, after earning the MVP award, Moore faced criticism from some football fans.

Alongside earning the award, Moore was also gifted the jersey of former LSU Tigers star Justin Jefferson. That drew mixed reactions on social media, with a fan writing, "He needs to give that Jefferson jersey back since he ditched LSU."

According to On3, Moore boasts an NIL valuation of $652,000, ranking 15th among high school football NIL valuations.
