No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025, BYU signee AJ Dybantsa, is back on the court representing the Utah Prep. After doing multiple interviews and podcasts about his much-awaited commitment, Dybantsa took on Duncanville from Texas in the Holiday Hoopfest on Saturday.
The Brockton, MA, native recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds in an 84-70 win over the Panthers. Famous basketball page "Ballislife" posted some highlights of Dybantsa's performance during the neutral non-conference game, as he made easy dunks and controlled the paint.
However, not every fan was convinced by his performance, voicing their skepticism in the comments.
"Overrated," a user commented.
"Alijah Arenas better than this guy 🤷🏻♂️," a fan said.

AJ Dybantsa's 2024 campaign with Utah Prep
After Saturday's win, Utah Prep has a 9-4 record. During the postgame presser, Dybantsa said:
“It was a good performance, but we won, and that’s all that matters. We’re improving. We’ve lost a couple games, but (tonight) we bounced back.”
During the game, Dybantsa was also seen setting up screens, finding the open man and rotating the ball to involve the players around him.
“It’s a team game,” Dybantsa said. “I mean, everybody’s got to eat. I’m not the only one playing. I try to put on a show, but I also want to keep it simple. The main objective is to win, but I try to warm up the crowd and put on a little show.”
AJ Dybantsa is set to join Xavion Staton and Chamberlain Burgess from the 2025 Class at BYU.
