Kiyan Anthony and Meleek Thomas played on the same team at the Slam Summer Classic in a game where they were defeated by Nate Ament and Caleb Wilson's team. However, they have also played against each other, and Anthony had some nice things to say about Thomas.
"In One Arena, (I) went up against Meleek Thomas," Anthony said. "He's a dog, and he just committed to OTE (Overtime Elite)."

In a game in the Overtime Elite Academy, Anthony came up against Thomas in a tight contest. He converted a shot from beyond the arc to make the score 105-103 with two minutes left on the clock, after which Thomas was seen pushing into Anthony. However, a beautiful assist by Thomas helped his team lead with two points before making the game-winning shot in overtime.
Meleek Thomas is ranked the No. 8 recruit in the Class of 2025 and is at the second spot in the shooting guard position in Georgia. He also joined OTE and talked about how different the academy is with LSU star Flau'Jae Johnson on Sunday.
"I used to watch everybody, I used to see everything and be behind the scenes and just really pay attention," Thomas said. "One day I want this to be me, so now it's just like it's my time, and everything I've prayed for is on the way."
Thomas averaged 23.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.3 steals per game in three years for the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. On the other hand, Kiyan Anthony is the No. 34 recruit and averaged 19.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in the Nike EYBL.
How many offers do Kiyan Anthony and Meleek Thomas have?
Son of the former New York Knicks player Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan Anthony has 21 offers while Meleek Thomas has 23, according to 247Sports. Neither of them has announced any commitment thus far.
However, On3's recruitment prediction machine states that Kiyan Anthony's top three colleges include Syracuse, Florida State and USC. His father's alma mater, Syracuse, has the highest chance of recruiting Anthony (84.2%).
On the other hand, Meleek Thomas' top four colleges include Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Auburn and Arkansas, with Pittsburgh having a 22% chance of recruiting Thomas, followed by Connecticut (14.6%), Auburn (12.5%) and Arkansas (10.4%).
