Five-star 2026 recruit Alijah Arenas was vacationing in Paris, France for the weekend, along with his mom, Laura Govan, and other members of the family. His mom shared some images of their vacation on Instagram and it featured not just Alijah but also his brother, Aloni, and their grandfather, Michael Govan.
The three were in front of the Eiffel Tower and were joining their hands around the tower's tip. Govan then called them "twinzzz" in the caption.
Their grandfather has often been seen cheering for them in their games. While Alijah Arenas is considered the No. 5 prospect for the class of 2026 and there are already talks that he will also turn pro, much like his former NBA All-Star dad, Gilbert Arenas.
Meanwhile, Aloni has been making a name for himself in the U-14 rankings and is expected to be a part of the class of 2030. On the Top 25 Scouts class of 2030 rankings, Aloni is listed as a four-star recruit.
Gilbert Arenas' and Laura Govan's daughters are also taking up basketball, with Izela Arenas currently playing her freshman year with the Louisville Cardinals. Their youngest daughter, Himley, is playing her freshman year in high school for Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. Himley was also with them on the Paris trip.
Their mom, Laura Govan, was also a high school and college basketball star, averaging 30 points per game during her high school playing days at Oakland High School in California. She then played for New Mexico State University on a basketball scholarship. After her split with Gilbert, she was the one who mostly raised Alijah Arenas and his siblings.
