Son of 3-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, Alijah Arenas ranks at the fourth spot nationally, second in the shooting guard position, and third in California. Arenas usually posts highlights of his basketball games with collaborations with famous basketball pages such as Ballislife, MaxPreps, SportsCenter NEXT, Overtime, and more.

This time, he took to Instagram to share a birthday wish for his Chatsworth teammate Velijah Miller on his story:

"Happy bday twin 🤞🏾@velijahmiller," Arenas captioned the story.

The Class of 2026 recruit already has offers from top programs including Washington State, UCLA, Arizona, Fresno State, UTEP, New Mexico, Xavier, and Alabama, among others. Arenas also received an offer from Kentucky and head coach Mark Pope on Nov. 28 as he became the 11th player from the Class of 2026 to have received an offer from the Wildcats.

While it is still early, according to On3's prediction machine, the Arizona Wildcats have the highest chance of recruiting Alijah Arenas with 48.6%. They are followed by UCLA Bruins (3.9%), Fresno State Bulldogs (3.3%),m and California Golden Bears with a 2.8% chance of signing the 6-foot-4 shooting guard.


How good is Alijah Arenas?

Arenas averaged 30.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.4 spg, and 1.6 bpg as a freshman for Chatsworth High School in 27 matches in the 2022-23 season. Next year, Arenas improved his offensive qualities as he scored 33.0 ppg, grabbed 8.6 rpg, dished out 2.9 apg, and stole the ball 1.3 times with 0.9 blocks per contest in 35 matches in his sophomore year.

He has now entered his third season this year. In three matches, Arenas put up 25.3 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 5.0 apg, and 1.3 spg so far. He also played in the Adidas 3SSB for Compton Magic and averaged 21.4 points with 48% shooting and 24.3% from the three-point line at the 17U level.

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden also talked about Arenas during an interview:

"I (saw) Alijah this summer, and he just kind of reminded me of myself in the sense of just playing against pros as a junior in high school, and that's how you get better," Harden said. "You learn the physicality; you learn the skill set and what you've got to get to."

Alijah Arenas still has one more year of high school before he decides on his collegiate career.
