A new magazine that focuses on high school basketball called BillionaireVsns revealed its first cover girl on Wednesday, and it is none other than five-star Monterey point guard Aaliyah Chavez. The magazine launches on Nov. 1, and, in a promotional post about its front cover on Instagram, called No. 1 prospect Chavez a "Generational Player."

The 5-foot-9 point guard from Lubbock, Texas, is the top-ranked player in the Class of 2025, as well as the No. 1 point guard and the No. 1 overall in Texas. She already has some offers from various colleges, including Texas, LSU, Texas Tech, South Carolina, UCLA and Oklahoma.

For her magazine shoot, Chavez was also featured with Monterey teammate, 2026 prospect Ambrosia Cole. On Wednesday, Chavez shared a teaser from the magazine on her Instagram stories.

Cole, nicknamed "Bro Bro," is considered a top 40 player in the Class of 2026 by BTNScouting but has yet to be rated by On3 or 247Sports. Like Chavez, she has also been described as a "generational talent" by HubCityPreps founder Randy Rosetta. She has also received several scholarship offers, including from Rhode Island, Wichita State and Memphis.

What scouts are saying about 5-star PG Aaliyah Chavez

247Sports' director of scouting for women's basketball, Brandon Clay, has noted that Aaliyah Chavez is a prolific and efficient scoring option who is "best suited to be a primary lead guard in college."

Clay added that she can get her shot off easily and that her legitimate shooting range is around 25 feet. Chavez can cause problems for defenders as she is also consistent in making shots herself or being able to find and pass to a corner shooter in case she is well-defended.

She has also been impressing scouts when she participated during the USA Basketball 3-on-3 trials in Memphis in July 2023. Chavez also made a name for herself at the Nike World Basketball Festival in New York in September 2023, as well as being named team captain in the new Overtime Select League in Atlanta.

Earlier in October, she made her official visit to Oklahoma University but has yet to decide on which school she would go to.

Aaliyah Chavez is also the only 100-rated women's basketball prospect in 247Sports' rankings. She averaged 29.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during last summer's Nike EYBL circuit.
