According to the post, the five-star recruit now has the special edition Kobe sneakers in her possession, even before the official release date. As seen in the post, the sneakers come in a red box with gold-colored outlines in an exclusive packaging said to be themed after the lunar new year.

The shoe — originally scheduled to be released in February — is designed with a glossy purple color alongside a shiny gold snake-like figure layered atop it. The design is made in acknowledgment of the popular NBA legend Koby Bryant's mascot, 'The Black Mamba.'

Five-Star Prospect Aaliyah Chavez Still Holding Off on College Commitment: Reportedly Eyeing $1M NIL Deal

Being the No. 1 Ranked WBB prospect, Aaliyah Chavez is one of the most sought-after five-star candidates at the moment. The Monterey Star currently has eleven different college offers, including offers from top programs like LSU, USCL, and Kansas, among others. However, she has yet to accept any of these offers and announce her commitment.

According to Sports Illustrated, the primary reason the player hasn't made her choice remains tied to a one million dollar Name and Likeness (NIL) deal she is seeking. Therefore, it's a possibility that her decision might still take a while.

Regardless, the 18-year-old point guard already narrowed down her choices to five programs — UCLA, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech. According to ON3 predictions, Oklahoma and UCLA are currently ahead in the race to secure the athlete's commitment, with a 37.0% and 32.3% chance, respectively.
