Even when players have verbally committed to a program, they still have the opportunity to change their mind, and flipping committments is already a common practice when recruiting players. Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian was spotted at a high school football game in Texas, and it appears that he was trying recruit five-star Oklahoma commit Michael Fasusi in Lewisville, Texas.

Fasusi and his team, the Lewisville High School Farmers, were taking on the Denton Guyer Wildcats on Saturday when eagle-eyed fans spotted Sarkisian watching the Oklahoma commit. The Longhorns are off during Week 10 so the coach was free to do other things, including recruiting.

It is believed that Sarkisian was there for Fasusi, who already chose OU over Texas back on August 21. However, Texas and state rivals Texas A&M have still continued to show interest in the offensive tackle, who is ranked by On3 as the No. 13 overall prospect from the Class of 2025.

During a previous interview with On3, Fasusi noted that the Oklahoma Sooners are his No. 1 choice, followed by Texas A&M, with the Texas Longhorns ranking third.

However, Steve Sarkisian and Texas were undaunted by Fasusi's OU decision and flew out to Lewisville on a helicopter, making everyone in attendance notice his arrival.

Texas already has three five-star commitments from the Class of 2025, but the team is proving to be persistent during this recruitment cycle and are looking for more talent, even those who have already committed to other schools.

Despite the flashy entrance from Steve Sarkisian, it is still unclear if this would be enough to flip the massive offensive tackle.

How good is Michael Fasusi that Steve Sarkisian had to pull up on a helicopter?

Michael Fasusi is a 6-foot-5, 299-pound lineman who is known for his physicality and natural brute strength. On3 scouting has noted that he has also been adding much to his size during the offseason between his sophomore and junior years.

He also plays track and field, specializing in shotput as a junior. Scouts have noted that he has a high ceiling and is versatile in various positions, including being able to play tackle or guard. He has also been noted for continuing to improve his pass protection.

Fasusi also has an NIL valuation of $933,000 being ranked No. 5 in all of high school football in regards to NIL.
